In the spring of 2000, LaDonna Linamen founded and directed a new community ensemble based in Slippery Rock,PA including singers and musicians from all around the area. They began performing in Slippery Rock and Grove City, PA. By the spring of 2001 the ensemble had grown to include people from several Butler community groups, expanding their performance locations to Butler as well. During the summer of 2001, these various groups merged to form ACTS (Adoring Christ Thru Song).

Our musical ensemble includes a choir, orchestra, and drama group. Our membership is made up of people from all over Butler County and surrounding counties and is always open to new members.  We are a diverse group of musicians, spanning a wide range of age, talent, and backgrounds, who come together to adore Christ through song. Our varied repertoire includes hymns (both traditional and Praise & Worship), seasonal cantatas, patriotic music, and classical. We also recently did a Broadway Musical Review.

ACTS is co-directored by Robert Olsavicky, II, of Butler and LaDonna Linamen of Slippery Rock, PA.  ACTS performs a full schedule of concerts throughout the year, along with some special events such as an annual community Thanksgiving program, the Musicians' Concert Band and Heinz Hall during the Christmas season.
