REHEARSALS
ACTS has two rehearsal sites and several rehearsal days from which to select each week.
- The orchestra rehearses on Sunday afternoon (2:30-4:30 p.m.) at St. John's Reformed Church on Rt. 68 and Benbrook Road in Butler.
- Choir rehearsals are 7:00-9:00 p.m. at St. John's Reformed Church on Rt. 68 and Benbrook Road in Butler on Tuesdays and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Center United Presbyterian Church, 211 Center St, Slippery Rock on Mondays.
With two rehearsal sights and several days to select from, it allows members the flexibility to attend whichever rehearsals fit into their schedule. This way the members can find enough rehearsal time to become comfortable with the music. We spend five to six weeks preparing for each concert, then turn in that music and begin another set. This also allows members the flexibility of participating in only those concerts that fit into their schedule.
All we ask is that each person consider the year’s schedule carefully and let us know what they plan to participate in and what concerts they will need to miss. If each member takes this as their personal responsibility, it helps us purchase enough music for everyone, balance each of the concerts so that all parts are covered, and prepare the group so it always sounds best.
